Canadian Ethics Fellowship Supervisors Community of Practice (CEFSCoP)

We are a group of individuals who lead healthcare ethics fellowship programs across Canada. Fellowships are a key element in the formation of healthcare ethics practitioners and our Community of Practice contributes to the professionalization of our field by defining shared expectations of how the next generation of Practising Healthcare Ethicists are supported to understand the role and practice within it.

Our purpose to support collaboration amongst Fellowship programs that train individuals to become Practicing Healthcare Ethicists (PHEs).

Our aim is to:

  • develop common frameworks, tools and curricula for Ethics Fellows across Canada

  • align Ethics Fellowship training standards with emerging national and international professionalization efforts, and

  • support the development of the next generation of PHEs.
